Office of Government Affairs

The Office of Government Affairs serves as Fisher's liaison with elected officials at the federal, state, county, and municipal levels. It coordinates all government relations activity at the university, presenting a unified voice.

The Office also helps to identify connections between Fisher's priorities and government funding opportunities. In support of this work, the Office seeks to strengthen Fisher's relationship with membership organizations, including the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU) and the National Association for Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU).

Reporting Lobbying and Government Contact

All campus employees who want to establish contact with a federal, state, or local official on behalf of Fisher, should first contact the Office of Government Affairs to ensure that their conduct does not put the University out of compliance with state and federal lobbying legislation.

When a contact has taken place, please complete the Government Relations Contact Form immediately so that Fisher can maintain a record of your activity. If you are acting as an individual, or for your own separate interests, then this policy does not apply.
