Get Involved in Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry offers a variety of faith-based programs, activities, and initiatives to foster a relationship with God both individually and communally.

The Office of Campus Ministry offers many ways for students to get involved exploring their spirituality and faith tradition, as well as those of others. 

Small Group, Learning, and Leadership Opportunities

  • Bible Study - Weekly ecumenical student-led Christian Bible Study
  • Agape Latte - Monthly talks with members of the Fisher community sharing their story at the intersection of faith and life
  • Men's and Women's Groups - Seasonal, student-led faith-sharing groups centered on a spiritual topic or theme
  • Exploring Christianity and Sacraments - An experience for students seeking to become Catholic or receive Sacraments
  • Peer Ministry Program - Application-based leadership experience for current students to serve as student-leaders
  • Music Ministry - Liturgical vocal and instrumental music group open to all skill levels and abilities
  • Liturgical Ministry - Serving the community through proclaiming readings, altar serving, and as ministers of communion
  • Interfaith Advisory Council - A body of students of varied faith traditions networking around religious diversity

Faith-Based Student Groups/Clubs

The Office of Campus Ministry assists the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership in advising and guiding SGA-affiliated clubs on campus. Membership in faith-based clubs is open to all faith traditions. Current faith-based clubs include:

  • Muslim Student Association - An affinity group for followers of the Muslim faith and those interested in Muslim culture
  • FisherCru - An interdenominational Christian club
  • Jewish Student Association - An affinity group for followers of the Jewish faith and those interested in Jewish culture
  • Christian Pharmacy Fellowship International - A faith-based club and professional organization for Christian pharmacy students

Community Service Opportunities

The Office of Campus Ministry offers service opportunities for any student. Some of our service opportunities include:

  • Sunday Service - A weekly, small, and easy service opportunity immediately following our 7:30 p.m. Chapel Night Mass
  • Bethany Dinners - A monthly small group leading prayer and serving dinner at Bethany House, a Catholic Worker House for women and women with children
  • Outreach - A student-led weekly outreach to Rochester's housing-insecure population through St. Joseph's House of Hospitality, a Catholic Worker House for men
  • Alternative Spring Break - Our signature Spring Break Service Trip where students travel for a week of service, living in community and companionship with those most in need of our assistance
  • GDK Summer Student Leadership Conference - An annual 3-day leadership and community service experience led by Campus Ministry staff and Peer Ministers for rising high school juniors and seniors
