Cardinals, Let’s Serve Together!
St. John Fisher University has partnered with Rise Against Hunger to host a campus-wide service opportunity from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6 in Cleary Family Auditorium. The service project is part of the University’s yearlong 75th Anniversary celebration.
Together, Cardinals will help prepare and pack more than 20,000 meals to be distributed to places across the world most in need of food insecurity relief efforts.
The event is being planned by the University Service Projects subcommittee, which includes Jenna Vinoya ’24, Dawn Zignierski ’26, Jill Hardy ’01 (Wegmans School of Pharmacy), Emily Colliss ’09 (Institute for Civic and Community Engagement), Melissa Kuberka ’22 (Women’s Basketball), Tina Abbey ’08 (Office of Institutional Advancement), Jennifer Gervase Benson ’94 (Alumni Board of Directors), and Jonathan Schott ’02 (Office of Campus Ministry).
The committee hopes to recruit between 100 and 125 individuals for the volunteer opportunity. Registration is required for all participants, and can be completed online.
