Dean’s Medal Honors Alumnus Chris Woodring
Dr. Christine Birnie presented alumnus Dr. Chris Woodring ’10 (Pharm.D.) with the Dean’s Medal during the annual Alumni Awards, held earlier this fall. The award recognizes alumni who have achieved success in their careers and made significant contributions to their communities.
A member of the inaugural pharmacy class, Woodring earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2010. Since then, he has built an exemplary career at Trillium Health, where he now serves as vice president and chief pharmacy officer. In his role, Woodring oversees pharmacy operations across multiple sites, including retail, specialty, and home delivery services. He has led initiatives that secured national accreditations, expanded access through the 340B drug pricing program, and strengthened partnerships with government and health organizations. His leadership during the COVIC-19 pandemic earned him the Rochester Business Journal’s Health Care Hero Award for his work on the regional vaccine task force.
Woodring is a member of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy Dean’s Advisory Council and serves on several professional committees, where he continues to advocate for equitable access to pharmacy care and public health advancement.
