Fisher Celebrates National Pharmacy Month This October
The Wegmans School of Pharmacy is gearing up to celebrate National Pharmacy Month—honoring the vital role pharmacists play in their communities.
Recognized by the American Pharmacists Month (APhA), the month-long American Pharmacy Month celebration shines a spotlight on the profession’s impact. The American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) will celebrate National Pharmacy Week from October 19-25, highlighting the invaluable contributions of pharmacists in health systems. The School uses the entire month to host and participate in a range of activities aimed to educate, celebrate, and advocate for the profession.
“Our mission is to prepare graduates to be culturally-sensitive, professionally-minded pharmacists,” said Dr. Christine Birnie, dean of the School. “We also encourage our students to advance the profession of pharmacy through education, advocacy, and outreach—empowering them to be leaders who make a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of the communities they serve.”
