Fisher Community Supports Rochester Family Mission’s Holiday Food Drive
October 31, 2025
Several offices and Schools at St. John Fisher University are teaming up to host a campus-wide donation effort in support of Rochester Family Mission.
The nonprofit addresses the urgent needs for food, clothing referrals, heat and electric assistance referrals, and counseling services primarily in the inner city of Rochester. Each year, Rochester Family Mission hosts a food drive to provide families with ingredients for holiday meals. Fisher will be collecting nonperishable food.
Collection boxes will be placed in the Hermance Family Chapel of St. Basil the Great and the Joseph A. Trovato, CSB Campus Ministry Center, and the School of Business now through Saturday, Nov. 15.
Items to donate include:
- Canned vegetables (corn, green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, yams)
- Canned fruit (cranberry sauce, applesauce, peaches, mixed fruit)
- Gravy, soup
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Cake mixes and icing
- Boxed food (cereals, corn muffin mix, instant mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, rice, stuffing)
- Beverages (juices, powdered milk)
