College Factual: Fisher’s Nursing Program a Great Value

The undergraduate nursing program at St. John Fisher College ranked as a “Best Value for the Money” in an annual nationwide ranking of U.S. colleges and universities. College search website, College Factual, ranked the nursing program, which is housed in the Wegmans School of Nursing, No. 42 out of 500 programs at colleges and universities in the country reviewed as “Best for the Money.”

This places Fisher’s nursing program in the top 10 percent of all such programs in the country reviewed by College Factual for value. The nursing program also ranked No. 7 out of 33 colleges in New York for value.

In addition to the website’s rankings based on value, a recent overall list of “top ranked” nursing degree programs featured the School of Nursing. It’s ranking of No. 68 out of 519 schools nationwide earned it a slot in the top 15 percent of schools evaluated for alumni earning potential, accreditation, and educational quality, among other factors. In the list of “Best Nursing Schools” in New York State, Fisher is ranked No. 9 out of 34 colleges and universities.

The largest enroller of nursing and mental health counseling students in the region, Fisher’s School of Nursing consistently achieves rankings as a top program locally and nationally. Students enrolled in the baccalaureate degree program benefit from the expertise of the School’s faculty, strong partnerships in the local and regional community, international clinical experiences, and the opportunity to learn in the School’s Glover-Crask Simulation Center.

The College as a whole is ranked No. 217 out of 1,510 colleges nationwide on the website’s “Best for the Money” ranking; earning Fisher a place in the top 15 percent nationally of all colleges reviewed by College Factual for value.
