The clinically--oriented hybrid Pharm.D. pathway emphasizes a student-centered, approach to pharmacy education while utilizing high levels of technology for online coursework, coupled with clinical rotations, immersion experiences and service opportunities. Fisher Pharm.D. Online is the first of its kind in the state, and one of fewer than 10 online graduate pharmacy programs in the country.

“We are excited to be able to provide students the opportunity to enroll in our Pharm.D. program through multiple pathways. The new online pathway provides individuals who may not be able to relocate to Rochester the opportunity to gain an outstanding pharmacy education in our program that will lead them to fulfilling careers in any pharmacy setting,” said Dr. Christine Birnie, dean of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy.

The Doctor of Pharmacy program at Fisher is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) through June 2024; the online pathway in pending authorization from ACPE. The first cohort of students in the Online Pathway will start classes in September 2020, pending New York State Department of Education approval and authorization from ACPE at its June 2020 Meeting.
