Fisher’s AMA Chapter Earns National Recognition

February 28, 2021

Earlier this month, St. John Fisher College’s Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) was recognized as an award-winning chapter for an “Outstanding Marketing Week.” Fisher is one of only eight out of more than 300 AMA chapters across North America to receive this honor.

AMA’s Marketing Week events took place during the week of October 12.  For the first time in the chapter’s history, Marketing Week was 100 percent virtual.  Through the commitment of members, faculty, and professionals in the business world, AMA was able to produce a unique Marketing Week that was beneficial to all who contributed.

“This Marketing Week, like many other things this year, was an unprecedented experience for everyone.  We had no idea what to expect heading into the week, but it could not have gone any better than it did.  Being recognized by the American Marketing Association is something everyone involved in the chapter should be proud of,” said Patrick Leahy, president of the chapter.

As a result of being selected as a top college during Marketing Week, Fisher’s chapter was invited to share their experience by presenting during a leadership session at the 2021 International Collegiate Conference. This will be held virtually on Friday, April 9. Patrick Leahy ’21 (president) and Salvatore Saunders ’23 (vice president) will be presenting alongside four other chapters.
