Best Buddies Spread the Word Inclusion Banner Signing
St. John Fisher College’s Best Buddies Club and Council for Exceptional Children will hold a banner signing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, in the Campus Center.
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to stop in to sign the banner in support of the national Spread the Word campaign which focuses on inclusion for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“Spread the Word Inclusion is a national campaign to promote the inclusion of those with disabilities and it’s exciting that we are able to participate in this campaign on our campus because inclusion of everyone - no matter their ability or disability - is crucial in our society,” said Emma Paradise, president of Best Buddies. “People with disabilities are constantly being underestimated, so it's our job as student leaders to make sure that on- and off-campus, Fisher students, staff, and faculty are being inclusive of everyone.”
Those who participate in the banner signing will receive a free Spread the Word Inclusion t-shirt while supplies last. For more information about this club and event, contact eep05481@sjfc.edu.
