Calling All Cardinals: Celebrate I Heart Fisher Giving Day

March 13, 2026

St. John Fisher University will celebrate the seventh annual I Heart Fisher Giving Day this Thursday, Mar. 19, a day dedicated to celebrating all-things-Fisher.

Students hold up t-shirts from I Heart Fisher Giving Day with Ten Things we Love About Fisher.

Throughout the day, the campus community will have opportunities to enjoy treats, win raffle prizes, and share what they love about Fisher at events and pop-ups across campus.

All the things we love about Fisher link us together.

The I Heart Fisher Giving Day Fair, happening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Donald E. Bain Campus Center, features activities with groups including the Health and Wellness Center, Career Services, Campus Ministry, Alumni and Constituent Engagement, Donor Engagement, Student Engagement and Leadership, Graduate Admissions, the Student Government Association, the School of Business, and affinity clubs including the Asian Student Union, Black Student Union, Muslim Student Association, and Sexuality and Gender Awareness. Take part in games, win raffles, and enjoy giveaways, prizes, and other activities. Early attendees will receive an I Heart Fisher Giving Day t-shirt (while supplies last)!

Fisher Dining is hosting the annual Fisher Favorites lunch featuring the most often-requested items and fun treats. Colleagues can share their appreciation for each other with messages shared from the mySJF Human Resources website (login required). Lavery Library will have materials available for the Fisher community to create “Six Word Stories” to tell about their Fisher experience — these stories will get added to the archives! The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education will host a popcorn station with toppings, a Heart Wall with messages from faculty to each education student, and a “Guess Your Certification” game with Dean Joellen Maples - stump her and win a prize.

Thank you donors. You make a difference all across our campus.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center with raffle prizes and opportunities to share love for Fisher.

The spirit of the day is giving, and several I Heart Fisher Giving Day challenges will help unlock matching gifts from several generous donors. Highlights include a 1:1 match of up to $90,000 for the Fisher Fund, sponsored by Daniel J. Boyce, Esq. ’79 and Shelley L. Boyce; Michael E. ’82 and Christine Haefner; and Mike ’80 and Karen Moran; a 2:1 giving match offered by Elizabeth ’11 and John Leonard Family Foundation (up to $50,000), and several more from alumni and benefactors.

Athletic programs will compete for number of dollars and number of donors raised.
