Suit Up: Career Services Launches Career Closet
This fall, Fisher students will have a new resource to help them prepare for internship and job interviews and other professional experiences thanks to the Career Closet, hosted by Career Services.
The Career Closet, located in Room L121 in the Davenport-Hatch Career Services Suite on the first floor of Lavery Library, is designed to help students “suit up” for their future by providing free professional attire for interviews, job fairs, and networking events. The Career Closet will officially open in the fall 2026 semester, and the Career Services team is currently seeking donations of gently used, current styles of high-quality professional items—including suits, jackets, tops, bottoms, and dresses.
“The Career Closet is more than just a resource; it is a commitment to ensuring every student can step into their future with confidence,” said Heather DiFino, director of career services. “By providing access to professional attire for everything from networking and interviews to conferences and ceremonies, we are removing the financial barriers that often stand between a student and their career goals.”
DiFino went on to say that she hopes this new initiative empowers students to stress less about their appearance and focus more on the unique talents and skills they bring to these experiences.
Employees, alumni, and students alike are encouraged to drop off donations to the Center for Career and Academic Planning front desk on the first floor of Lavery Library, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For questions, reach out to careerservices@sjf.edu.
