Fisher Again Named Military Friendly School
St. John Fisher University earned the 2025-2026 Military Friendly® School designation, published by Viqtory Media. Fisher was categorized as a private university that offers a doctorate and was given a silver ranking. This is the tenth consecutive year that the University has earned this recognition.
Institutions earning the designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2025-2026 survey with 830 earning special awards for going above the standard. Factors including student retention, graduation rates, loan repayment, default rates, and post-graduation job placement contribute to an institution’s overall rating.
St. John Fisher University’s commitment to offering sustainable and impactful educational opportunities for military personnel has been instrumental in securing this prestigious recognition. Fisher actively participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which assists veterans in covering additional tuition and fees beyond those provided by the post-9/11 GI Bill. Fisher’s robust support for veterans across various facets of higher education has led to the institution being recognized as military-friendly.
