Wegmans School of Pharmacy Welcomes Two New Residents
The Wegmans School of Pharmacy has welcomed two new residents to participate in the year-long pharmacy residency program to gain experience in a vast array of clinical settings as consulting members of health care teams.
The program prepares graduates to become competent clinical pharmacists through these experiences, and the residents are eligible to participate in a wide range of elective rotations based on their areas of professional interest.
This year’s residents include:
Dr. Bryan Horne ’24 (Pharm.D.)
PGY-2 in Ambulatory Care at Anthony Jordan Health Center and Wegmans School of Pharmacy under the guidance of Dr. Gabriela Cipriano
Originally from Avon, New York, Horne earned his bachelor’s degree in medical technology from SUNY Brockport and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy in 2024. He completed his PGY-1 residency at the Finger Lakes VA Healthcare System, where he focused on chronic disease management and interdisciplinary care for the veteran population. His professional interests include diabetes, hypertension, anticoagulation, and expanding pharmacist-led services in underserved communities. After residency, Horne hopes to obtain a position as an ambulatory care pharmacist.
Dr. Greta Staubly
PGY-2 in Ambulatory Care at Rochester Regional Health and Wegmans School of Pharmacy under the guidance of Dr. Alex DeLucenay
Originally from Newtown, Connecticut, Dr. Greta Staubly graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in 2024. After graduation, she began a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Rochester General Hospital. Throughout her experiences as a student and during her PGY-1 year, she was drawn to the ambulatory care setting, leading her to commit to the PGY-2 program through Rochester Regional Health and Fisher. During her PGY-2 experience, Staubly intends to further develop her teaching and precepting skills, expand her knowledge base, and gain confidence in independently managing diverse patient populations. Her clinical practice interests include heart failure and diabetes management. After completing her residency training, she hopes to become board-certified in ambulatory care and practice as a clinical pharmacist in the ambulatory care setting.
