Dr. Fan Li is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the School of Business at St. John Fisher University. His research interests span corporate finance, political finance, labor economics, financial regulation, and investments. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Utah, where he also taught finance courses before joining St. John Fisher University. He has also held teaching responsibilities at the University of California, Riverside.

Dr. Li began his academic training in the United Kingdom, completing a B.A. in Economics at Durham University, followed by an M.S. in Quantitative Finance with High Distinction from the University of Glasgow.

Beyond research and teaching, Dr. Li is active in the Rochester community and enjoys a wide range of activities. He can often be found cycling or running along the Erie Canal, hiking in the Finger Lakes region, climbing at local gyms, or playing badminton and basketball. He also enjoys reading in parks and cafes, combining his academic pursuits with a love of the outdoors and community engagement.
