
Dr. LeCounte is an accomplished organizational scientist and a recognized expert in corporate governance, organizational behavior, and strategic leadership. As a distinguished scholar and educator, he is known for bridging the gap between theory and practice. Dr. LeCounte’s scholarship is featured in the Journal of Small Business Management, International Journal of Organizational Analysis, and Journal of Leadership, Accountability and Ethics.
With roots in human resource development, a deep passion for corporate governance, organizational behavior, and strategic leadership, he actively shapes both academic understanding and real-world business outcomes. Dr. LeCounte theorizes the succession of Founder-CEOs in family firms, corporate CEO succession, and HRM solutions for small business owners. He is an alumnus of the Yale Global Executive Leadership Program (YGELP) and the Sherpa Executive Coaching program at the University of Georgia (UGA). As a trusted advisor, he specializes in employee relations (ER), human resource management (HRM), team building, executive succession, and industrial relations (IR) consulting for decision-makers.
Dr. LeCounte shares his knowledge and expertise with students through various teaching modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, online) and methodologies through case study analysis, team leadership opportunities, oral presentations, writing assignments, and real-world consulting projects requiring development and demonstration of business acumen to ensure every student who enrolls in his courses is prepared to lead and work collaboratively to address challenges in a variety of workplace and professional settings.
