Peer tutors are Fisher second-, third-, and fourth-year students who assist with writing course content and writing tasks from all majors.

All tutors are expected to participate in a comprehensive tutor training program, which includes a combination of in-person and online learning experiences.
Interested in Becoming a Writing Tutor?
Students interested in becoming a writing tutor must provide a faculty recommendation and a two-page writing sample to the Writing and Tutoring Center Director.
Prospective writing tutors will complete a one-credit pass/fail training course, English 270 - Peer Tutoring in Writing. The course explores the roles and responsibilities of the tutor while offering insights into effective tutoring strategies through interactive discussion and practice. Students must receive approval from the Writing and Tutoring Center Director before registering.
Interested in Becoming a Math Tutor?
Students interested in becoming a math tutor must complete a one-credit pass/fail training course, Math 290. Students must receive approval from the Writing and Tutoring Center Director before registering.
