Gender and Sexuality Studies
Enrich your understanding of how gender, race, sexuality, and other identities function in and contribute to a rich society with a minor in gender and sexuality studies at Fisher.
Explore how our lives are affected by socially-constructed notions of gender and sexuality by applying the frameworks of feminist, queer, and trans theory, history, and methods. With this minor, you will find a vibrant and supportive community of peers, close interaction with faculty from across the University, and opportunities to take on a wide range of leadership roles.
The gender and sexuality minor will serve you well if you are planning a career in any of the following fields:
- International relations
- Health professions
- Social and community service
The minor consists of six courses from a variety of academic disciplines: one introduction course, one gender theory course, and four electives.
The program complements studies in law, business, media, political science, health professions, social science, and education.
