Legal Studies Activities

Justinian Order Networking Opportunities

The Justinian Order of St. John Fisher University is an academic and legal society intended to create collegiality among Fisher graduates professionally involved with the law. Members have the opportunity to gather socially, bond professionally, and pass on the legacy of Fisher’s legal scholarship to young alumni and students.

The Justinian Order hosts a civic luncheon each May and a medal reception every other year. In addition, members of the Justinian Order regularly visit campus to speak to classes and mentor students.

Mock Trial

Mock Trial simulates a civil or criminal trial where you can play the role of prosecuting attorney, defense attorney, or witness. You may compete in several invitationals and tournaments organized by The American Mock Trial Association. As a participant, you will work closely with local attorneys and meet other practitioners of law during competitions while receiving valuable feedback and advice on legal careers.

Pre-Law Association

If law school is in your future, you'll want to join the Fisher's Pre-Law Association. The group offers you a closer look at a career in law through mock trials and workshops. Fisher law alumni are on hand to help get you familiar with the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), as well as law school applications and admissions procedures.
