Several new employees joined the St. John Fisher University community throughout the summer months in time for the fall semester who will serve as faculty members, residence directors, coaches, security officers, and more.
New faculty joining Fisher include: Dr. Jonathan Perri, visiting assistant professor of pharmacology in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy; Dr. Christine Bataille, chair, management and marketing department; Angela Uttaro, visiting assistant professor of finance; Dr. Gregory Geer, visiting assistant professor of executive leadership; Dr. Jarron VanCeylon, assistant professor of economics; Dr. Tiara Johnson, assistant professor of media and communication; Jennifer Hoeflich, visiting assistant professor of life sciences; Brenna Seavey, visiting instructor of nursing; and Dr. Kerry O'Brien, assistant professor of nursing.
Joining Academic Support and Services are Gladys Abrahante, TRIO SSS and CSTEP advisor, and Kimberly Felton, academic coordinator and counselor.
Five residence directors joined the Residential Life team, including: Katie Allen, Founders Hall and Michaelhouse; Jack Foreman, Haffey Hall; Adam McCutcheon, Keough Hall and Upper Quad Hall; Miranda Merzacco, Ward Hall; and Marley Reynolds, Murphy Hall.
The Office of Safety and Security welcomed security officers David D’Agostino, Kevin Bubel, Alex Lyst, and Jonathan Carney.
Joining Student Financial Services are Keri Ovando as student financial services counselor. Taylor Kelly, assistant director of donor engagement; Piper Bailey, associate director of alumni and constituent engagement; Laura Torchia, gift and data management specialist; and Jeff Kay, leadership annual giving officer joined Institutional Advancement. Becca Gantress, electronic document specialist, joined the Print Center. Lyric Alston, John Rollins, and Sarah Warren have joined the facilities team. Sharon Resiinger, joined the Wegmans School of Nursing as an administrative assistant.
Fisher Athletics welcomed several new members including: Zach Altman, head men’s wrestling coach; Harris Williams, assistant strength and conditioning coach; Trisha Byler, head cross country coach; Dave Presby, assistant cross country coach; assistant football coaches Alex Day, Alessandro DeRosa, and Amir Massey; Lindsey DeBonis, assistant women’s volleyball coach; Derek Bernardino and Maddie Lowney, assistant women’s lacrosse coaches; assistant men’s soccer coaches Ryan Brow and Sam Emerson; Brooklyn Drago and Kate Rachwal, assistant women’s soccer coaches; Jayden Kelley, assistant women’s ice hockey coach; Braeden McNeill, assistant men’s lacrosse coach; Ashley Raymond, assistant field hockey coach; and David Tantillo, assistant flag football coach.
Two interim associate dean appointments are also in effect for the 2026-2027 academic year. Dr. Katie Burakowski and Marcy Maier-Lambrecht will serve in the interim roles in the School of Arts and Sciences and Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education respectively.
