March 30, 2022

St. John Fisher College students will be hosting a basketball tournament from 2:30 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center.

Fisher students play a game of pick-up basketball.

Organized by a team of sport management students for their Events and Operations course, this tournament is free and open to students of any skill level or gender. The tournament will be 3-on-3 Gus Macker style, ensuring a fair bracket.

Interested teams can sign up through the group’s Google form. Or, come cheer on the players and see who will be crowned champions of the men’s and women’s tournaments. Winners will win special t-shirts, courtesy of tournament sponsor Caliber Collision.

Student organizers Nick Julien, Hannah Morse, Adrian Sienko, Jack Schauber, Tim LaGeorge, Gabe Irwin, Trevor Mulhern, and Colby Velie say they are looking forward to sharing their hard work on this event with the campus community.
