St. John Fisher University will host the 36th Annual Accounting Awards this March and is seeking nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Award, Alumnus of the Year, and Rising Star Awards. Nominations are due by Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Established in 1990 to acknowledge the accomplishments of notable Fisher accounting and finance alumni, this event celebrates program graduates and students who embody Fisher’s fundamental values. Award recipients showcase remarkable career success, notable philanthropic endeavors, and exceptional contributions to the Fisher community.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an alumnus who has led a distinguished career and an unwavering commitment to Fisher and the accounting profession.
The Accounting Alumnus of the Year Award is awarded to individuals who embody Fisher’s core values. The criteria for the award include remarkable career accomplishments, notable humanitarian work, and exceptional contributions to the University.
The University also honors alumni with Rising Star Awards. Given to alumni who have found success early in their careers, the award honors career achievements, involvement with both the community and the University, and demonstrated potential for even greater success as their accounting careers mature.
The Accounting Awards Celebration will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at the Joseph Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. The celebration is sponsored by the Accounting Alumni Society and the Department of Accounting and Finance in the School of Business.
