Several St. John Fisher University Programs Recognized in U.S. News’ 2026 Best Graduate Schools

St. John Fisher University has earned high marks in the 2026 U.S. News and World Report’s Best Grad Schools ranking for its nursing, business, and pharmacy graduate programs.

Master’s programs offered through the Wegmans School of Nursing are among the top 50 programs in the country, ranking No. 50 while the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program ranked No. 114. In addition, the School of Business Master of Business Administration (MBA) is among the top 230 in the country ranking No. 226 and the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program offered through the Wegmans School of Pharmacy ranked No. 82.

Through the ongoing, annual collection of graduate school data – including figures on enrollment, job attainment, faculty, and other critical quality indicators – U.S. News provides the essential information that helps prospective students make informed decisions.

The School of Nursing offers five Master of Science in Nursing degrees including Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner; and Adult/Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist; as well as a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. In fall 2021, the School welcomed the first cohort of students into a fully online pathway for its master’s offerings. Outside of New York City, the Wegmans School of Nursing enrolls more graduate candidates than any other program in New York State. In addition, Fisher prepares the largest number of nurses in the region via its traditional baccalaureate degree program and a large percentage of advanced practice nurse practitioners into the regional and state-wide health care workforce. The School’s Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing, established in 2018 and the only institute of its type in the nation, integrates specialized curriculum into nursing undergraduate, graduate, and professional education that addresses the unique health care needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
