Awards and Recognitions

The Student Government Association honored undergraduate students, clubs and organizations, and faculty and staff with Cardinal Awards, recognizing their efforts, leadership, and support during the 2019-2020 academic year. This summer, Dr. Dianne Cooney Miner retired from her role as founding dean of the Wegmans School of Nursing and transition full-time to her role as executive director of the Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing. To recognize and honor her visionary leadership and extraordinary impact on the College during her tenure as dean, the Board considered and approved a motion to bestow the lifetime honorary title of Dean Emeritus upon Cooney Miner. Academic Scholarship

Dr. Munawar Karim, professor of physics at St. John Fisher College, published two papers in academic journals. Read More: Physics Professor Publishes Two Papers

Arien Rozelle, assistant professor in the Department of Media and Communication, published an article that was included in the June 2020 “Managing Through Crisis” issue of Strategies and Tactics, a publication of the Public Relations Society of America. Highlights

Fourth-year pharmacy student Gillian Eppinger was completing her Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) rotation at Hilton Family Pharmacy when a customer experienced a medical emergency.
