Sydney Closinski immediately stepped into her first professional role after stepping across the graduation stage last May and today works as a sales development representative at TEKsystems.
In this role, she conducts outreach and prospecting and meets with potential clients to identify how TEKsystems can provide a solution for them, working with financial services customers and focusing on their core applications vertical. Additionally, she is training to become an account manager.
Closinski attributes her preparedness for the role to her classes in the School of Business teaching her the necessary skills for the job, particularly those affiliated with her sales minor. She was also a four-year member of the women’s lacrosse team where she met some of her closest friends.
“Fisher was the best decision I could have made for my college not only on the field but also academically,” she said. “I also was able to make so many connections that made the entire experience more enjoyable.”
In five years, Closinski is striving to have completed her MBA at Fisher and earn a promotion in her company, making sales and contributing positively to the company.
