Campus Ministry offers a variety of faith-based programs, activities, and initiatives to foster a relationship with God both individually and communally.
The Office of Campus Ministry offers many ways for students to get involved exploring their spirituality and faith tradition, as well as those of others.
Small Group, Learning, and Leadership Opportunities
Bible Study - Weekly student-led Bible Study that follows the liturgical calendar, open to all students.
Agape Latte - Monthly talks with members of the Fisher community sharing their story at the intersection of faith, life, and culture.
Men's and Women's Groups - Seasonal, student-led faith-sharing groups centered on a spiritual topic, scripture, or theme.
Exploring Catholicism and Sacramental Preparation - An experience for students seeking to become Catholic or receive Sacraments, and for interested students to learn more about Catholicism.
Peer Ministry Program - Application-based leadership experience for current students to serve as student leaders, open to all faith traditions.
Music Ministry - Liturgical vocal and instrumental music group open to all skill levels and abilities.
Liturgical Ministry - Serving the Catholic community through proclaiming readings, altar serving, and as ministers of communion.
Interfaith Council - A body of students of varied faith traditions networking around religious diversity.
Faith-Based Student Groups/Clubs
The Office of Campus Ministry assists the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership in advising and guiding SGA-affiliated clubs on campus. Membership in faith-based clubs is open to all faith traditions. Current faith-based clubs include:
Muslim Student Association - An affinity group for followers of the Muslim faith and those interested in Muslim culture.
Jewish Student Association - An affinity group for followers of the Jewish faith and those interested in Jewish culture.
Christian Pharmacy Fellowship International - A faith-based club and professional organization for students in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, from the Christian point of view.
Call for Christ - A student faith-based organization of the Office of Campus Ministry. C4C is a multidenominational fellowship group that serves all students, from the Christian point of view.
Prayer/Rosary Group - A student faith-based organization of the Office of Campus Ministry. Rosary Group provides any student an opportunity to gather for prayer, devotionals, and community from the Roman Catholic point of view.
Community Service Opportunities
The Office of Campus Ministry offers service opportunities for any student. Our commitment is rooted in and oriented to faith-based service. Some of our service opportunities include:
Sunday Service - A frequent, small, and easy service opportunity immediately following our 7:30 p.m. Chapel Night Mass benefitting a variety of agencies/ministries.
Feed the Hungry - A monthly small group outing to a local agency/ministry serving those in need of meals or experiencing food insecurity.
Giving Tree Program - An annual program where we engage the Fisher community in supporting the material needs of local agencies and ministries at the Christmas/holiday season.
Alternative Spring Break - Our signature Spring Break Service Trip where students travel for a week of service, living in community and companionship with those most in need of our assistance.
Pre-Orientation Program (in development) - An annual 3-day leadership and service experience led by Campus Ministry and other University offices to engage incoming first-year students in Fisher culture and a sense of belonging.
