Summer Housing

Founders Hall on the Fisher campus

Housing is available on-campus in Founders Hall for Summer 2022.  Summer students can sign up to stay for the entire summer session or individual sessions.

Apply now on ResLife Online!  Summer housing applications due:

  • April 29 for students wishing to live on-campus for the first or full summer session.
  • April 29 for students participating in the Summer Research Program.
  • June 1 for students wishing to live on-campus for the second summer session.
Who can live on campus during the summer?

Students must be enrolled full-time in the Fall and at least one of the following:

  • Registered for at least one summer course
  • Participating in an internship for credit
  • Participating in an internship or academic program that is sponsored by Fisher

Not registered for Fall but need to stay for the summer to finish your degree?  Give us a call at (585-385-8281) or an email reslife@sjf.edu as exceptions will be made for students who aren’t registered for Fall but are taking summer classes to complete a degree.

When can I stay?

Summer Session Dates

Summer housing is available to coincide with the summer academic sessions and the Summer Research Program.

12 Week Session

  • Move In: Noon, Sunday, May 15, 2022
  • Move Out: Noon, Saturday, August 13, 2022

6 Week Session #1

  • Move In: Noon, Sunday, May 15, 2022
  • Move Out: Noon, Saturday, June 25, 2022

6 Week Session #2

  • Move In: Noon, Sunday, July 3, 2022
  • Move Out: Noon, Saturday, August 13, 2022

Summer Research Program

  • Move In: Noon, Tuesday, May 31, 2022
  • Move Out: Noon, Monday, August 8, 2022

Want to stay longer?

Students staying for Session 1 or for Summer Research can add a week(s) immediately prior to or proceeding their stay if spaces are available and with advanced permission from the Office of Residential Life. 

Students staying for Session 2 can add a week(s) immediately prior to their stay if spaces are available and with advanced permission from the Office of Residential Life.

How much does it cost?

Summer Rates

Summer rates include room and board (meals).

12 Week Session

$2,640 for a double room or $3,660 for a single room. Room rate includes a $600 Cardinal Cash meal plan.

6 Week Session #1

$1,500 for a double room or $2,100 for a single room. Room rate includes a $300 Cardinal Cash meal plan.

6 Week Session #2

$1,500 for a double room or $2,100 for a single room. Room rate includes a $300 Cardinal Cash meal plan.

Summer Research Program

$2,500 for a double room or $3,500 for a single room. Room rate includes a $500 Cardinal Cash meal plan. 

Note about room type: You can choose a single room or double room.  For the summer term, a single means you won't share a sleeping room with anyone else.  You may be assigned to a single or you may be assigned to a double room without a roommate depending on occupancy.

Add a Week

The cost is $200 per week which includes $50 per week in Cardinal Cash.

  • Students staying for Session 1 or for Summer Research can add a week(s) immediately prior to or proceeding their stay if spaces are available and with advanced permission from the Office of Residential Life. 
  • Students staying for Session 2 can add a week(s) immediately prior to their stay if spaces are available and with advanced permission from the Office of Residential Life.

Cardinal Cash is the Meal Plan

The summer meal plan is Cardinal Cash.  Knowing that summer schedules can be different from one students to another, you have more flexibility. If you don't use all of it, it will roll over to the upcoming fall semester!
