09/26/2022 - Two years after he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, Kevin Hines attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Since the Golden Gate Bridge opened in 1937, thousands of people have tried to take their lives by jumping; he is among only 34 to have survived.
09/09/2022 - This year, the Student Government Association (SGA) is committed to fostering conversation around community, equity, and inclusion, and generating engaging activities and events for Fisher students.
09/05/2022 - The second annual Inclusion Dinner sponsored by the Student Government Association, Black Student Union, Asian Student Union, Sexuality and Gender Alliance, Muslim Student Association, and Latiné Student Union welcomed 275 attendees, 100 more than the inaugural dinner in 2021.
08/12/2022 - Rev. Dr. Marlowe V.N. Washington, senior diversity officer at St. John Fisher University, is among the 27 inaugural nominees of the Colors of Success DEI Award, given by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.
08/10/2022 - Students in the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) at Monroe Community College (MCC) received an up-close look at careers in pharmacy during the Pharmacy Day Camp, held on Friday, Aug. 5 and hosted by the Wegmans School of Pharmacy.
07/07/2022 - Anchored by keynote speaker St. John Fisher University alumnus Dr. George Lopez ’72, an international expert on peace and justice, 25 rising high school junior and senior student leaders attended the second annual GDK Summer Student Leadership Conference “Building Pathways to Peace,” held in June on campus.

04/04/2022 - Nursing major Abdulhady Homed is the final member of the Class of 2022 to be featured in the “Countdown to Commencement” series. Homed was nominated by Erin Barry, director of the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement at St. John Fisher College.
04/02/2022 - This week, St. John Fisher College will launch its Campus Climate Survey to all faculty, staff, and students to better understand perceptions of the College’s climate and level of support for diversity and equity.
