Reid Hooker ’26
Tax Intern at Bowers
Reid Hooker started as a tax intern at Bowers after attending a networking event hosted by the Accounting Club. He was invited to the firm’s Syracuse office to meet the partners and quickly became a part of the internship program. Since then, he has been a part of Bowers’ Rochester office culture, deciding he wanted to pursue an audit internship, where he has continued working alongside the audit staff and partners.
A professional and career-focused student, Hooker displays the integrity and desire to learn but also has the foresight and professionalism to help others and be a part of a growing team inspiring other interns along the way. He will continue in a third internship in January 2026.
“Reid has been a rising star and contributor to our program each year, and today, as he nears graduation in 2026, we are extremely proud and honored to have him as part of the Bowers Team and look forward to being a part of his next journey,” said Bowers Rochester Partner, Tracey Rink.
Danielle DeJoy Moss ’10, ’11MBA, CPA
Information Technology Finance Manager, Farm Credit East, ACA
When Danielle DeJoy Moss was a student at Fisher, she never dreamed of combining her work and professional goals in business so closely with her personal interest in farming. She now works for Farm Credit East, ACA in their newly formed Transformation Office. She believes that doing this work she loves “all started with Fisher.”
A double Cardinal, Moss graduated in 2010 with a degree in accounting and obtained her MBA the following year. Her time at Fisher launched her into an opportunity at EY where she worked for seven years. “Fisher was a stepping stone for me,” she explained. “Without the accounting program and the push for the CPA certification, I would not have been in public accounting.”
Moss credits her success to her Fisher professors and their advice. “One of my professors told me to take the rough patches, learn everything we could, and take the exposure to every opportunity possible. Doing this would allow us to build the careers that we wanted. He was right!” Moss believes her role at EY became an opportunity to “build a dream career.”
She encourages other business students to consider Fisher’s accounting program because of the community that shaped her experience. “If you have dreams of being in the business world, whether in accounting or not, while also wanting to be in a program in which the professors truly care; Fisher is the place for you! Everything that I have now in my career all started at Fisher and I am forever grateful for my experience.”
Jack Marlow ’25
Staff Accountant with ProNexus
Jack Marlowe believes the diverse support system provided by faculty and peers in the School of Business has led to his success, acknowledging the pivotal role these relationships have played in shaping his academic journey.
“As a member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Council, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow students to improve the overall experience for others within the School of Business,” said Marlowe. “This experience has not only taught me the dynamics of working on a team but has also demonstrated the impact my contributions can have.”
During his undergraduate studies, Marlowe secured an internship with Wegmans that helped prepare him for his current role as a staff accountant with ProNexus. He is also pursuing his MBA at Fisher, continuing to build upon the strong foundation he established as an undergraduate.
He believes that the distinct advantage of a Fisher education lies in its small class sizes and the individualized attention from faculty. “I feel very connected to my professors and know that they are valuable resources for me because of their experience and expertise in the business world,” he said.
