Wittmeyer’s article, “Everyday Gratitude in Times of Uncertainty,” was recognized for its popularity on EIX.org and familybusiness.org; it attracted an average of 1,430 readers each month of 2020.

In a letter announcing the award, Jon Eckhardt, editor-in-chief, noted that the “Schulze Awards are a significant achievement, exhibiting quality of thought and clarity of viewpoint as they pass through the EIX and familybusiness.org review communities.”

At the annual conference for the International Family Enterprise Research Academy (IFERA), Wittmeyer’s research team was also selected for the Best Paper Contribution to Practice award. IFERA is a non-profit association dedicated to the advancement of family business research.

The paper, “Does working outside the firm make next generation members more successful inside their family firm?” was co-written by Wittmeyer and Isabel Botero, Juliana Binhote, and Joseph Astrachan.
