Wegmans School of Pharmacy P-4 student Sandra Fenelon was recently awarded the 2026 NCPA Foundation Partners in Pharmacy Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes pharmacy students who demonstrate leadership, academic achievement, service, and a strong commitment to independent community pharmacy.
“Receiving this national recognition from the NCPA Foundation is an incredible honor, and I am grateful to represent St. John Fisher University’s Wegmans School of Pharmacy,” said Fenelon.
Fenelon holds multiple leadership roles within the School of Pharmacy, serving as Fisher’s NCPA Chapter president where she works to strengthen and grow the organization while expanding opportunities for student involvement. She also serves as class president, working to ensure that student voices are heard and concerns addressed.
“Supporting and creating opportunities for other students has always been one of the most rewarding aspects of my leadership experience, and I am proud that this effort will allow another student to benefit from attending a national professional conference,” she said.
As a military veteran, Fenelon shares that her background has shaped her resilience, work ethic, and dedication to serving others. During her military service, she earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) qualification, a significant professional achievement that reflects dedication, technical proficiency, and commitment to excellence.
Fenelon will be recognized at the 2026 NCPA Annual Convention in Kansas City, Missouri in October, among other scholarship recipients and award winners from across the country.
Founded in 1898, the National Community Pharmacists Association is the voice for the role of community pharmacist, representing over 18,900 pharmacies that employ more than 235,000 individuals nationwide.
