The NSF S-STEM Scholars Program provides scholarships for students majoring in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, psychology, mathematics, physics, computer science, data analytics, or cybersecurity. The program is funded by an NSF S-STEM Track 2 grant which seeks to increase the number of academically talented, low-income students with demonstrated financial need who earn degrees in STEM fields.

Students selected for the STEM CARES program will receive up to $60,000 over four years ($15,000 each year). In addition, Scholars will have the opportunity to engage early in their college career in multiple enrichment opportunities, including alumni mentorship and paid research and internship experiences. Scholars also will participate in STEMinars, peer-group meetings where they will receive mindfulness training and career advising.
