Program Eligibility

Applicants must show evidence of their potential to meet the demands of a rigorous doctoral program. Admission is limited to qualified candidates who have:

• A minimum of three years of successful management/administrative level experience.
• Completed a master's degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution.

Application Materials Needed

• Completed online application.
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work. (For the quickest transcript processing, please contact each institution attended and request an official transcript with electronic delivery to St. John Fisher University.)
• Two recommendations. These should be from successful leaders who are in a profession similar to your own and familiar with graduate-level work. (You will be prompted to assign your recommenders within the online application.)
• Current résumé.
• A single-page typed vision statement that includes your:
  • Vision of leadership.
  • Reasons for applying to the program.
• Two writing samples of five pages or less (e.g., excerpts from reports or proposals).

Note: You will be prompted to upload your documents during the submission of your application.

Interview Process

Applicants who meet the admission requirements will be required to participate in a formal interview and provide an on-demand writing sample on the day of the interview.
