Fellowship Mentors Dr. Rebecca Kronk, Dr. Melissa Bourne, and Dr. Sarah Ailey Present at ADCHE Conference

Rebecca Kronk, Ph.D., MSN, CRNP, ANEF, FAAN, CNE, Melissa Bourne, Ph.D., RN, CNE, ONC, and Sarah Ailey, Ph.D., APHN, FAAN, mentors for the Golisano Institute, presented work at the Alliance for Disability in Health Care Education's (ADCHE) 2023 Conference.
 
Dr. Rebecca Kronk is a professor at Duquesne University School of Nursing. Dr. Kronk is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurses (FAAN), and president of the board of directors for the ADCHE. And involved with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice Intellectual and Developmental Nursing Work Group. Dr. Kronk's presentation was "Consultant with Disability Simulation Program – Measuring Impact Over Time." As ADCHE president, she led the welcome and introductions for the conference on June 15, 2023.
 
Dr. Melissa Bourne is an assistant visiting professor at St. John Fisher University and a Registered Nurse at Highland Hospital. Dr. Bourne's presentation was "Clinical Nursing Faculty Perceptions about Teaching Pre-Licensure Baccalaureate Nursing Students to Provide Care for Adults with Developmental Disability in the Clinical Setting." Prior to becoming a mentor, Dr. Bourne was an inaugural Golisano Fellow.
 
Dr. Sarah Ailey is a Rush University Medical Center College of Nursing professor and PI for the ACL-funded PATH-PWIDD project, of which the Golisano Institute is a consortium member. She is also a member of the National Organization of Nurses with Disabilities. Dr. Ailey's presentation was "An IPE (interprofessional education) service-learning program supported by Partnering to Transform Health Outcomes with Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PATH- PWIDD)."
