A Special Season for the Inaugural Members of Fisher’s Returned Wrestling Program The 2022-2023 Wrestling Team.

02/09/2023 - For many years, St. John Fisher held a reputation as one of the top wrestling programs in the region. Running from 1965 to 1983, Cardinal wrestlers competed in NCAA Division III and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) championships, and held the title of Catholic National Champions numerous times. Following the 1983 season, the program ended and began a near 40-year hiatus.

St. John Fisher University Joins Cisco Network Academy A student at a computer.

02/08/2023 - St. John Fisher University has joined a worldwide network of over 11,800 academies by becoming a Cisco Networking Academy (NetAcad), an effort that is part of the re-imagining of Fisher’s cybersecurity degree. Cisco is the world’s largest multinational, American-based digital communications corporation; the Networking Academy falls under their social responsibility initiatives.

02/07/2023 - Four St. John Fisher University students were recognized at the annual Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) Conference, which took place on February 2-3 in Tampa, Florida.

First in Class: Fisher Pharmacy Grads Rank No. 1 in First-Time NAPLEX Pass Rates in New York State A graduation cap reads, Off to be a Pharm.D.

02/06/2023 - Graduates of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy achieved the highest pass rates in New York State on the 2022 North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX). Students performed well above the state (74 percent) and national (80 percent) averages for first-time pass rates. Fisher graduates achieved a pass rate of 88 percent.

02/06/2023 - Business management major and economics minor Henry Huynh is the next member of the Class of 2023 to be featured in the “Countdown to Commencement” series. Huynh was nominated by Dr. Carol Wittmeyer, interim dean of the School of Business.

Sam Carter Named Teddi Dance for Love Honorary Chair Sam Carter

02/03/2023 - Sam Carter, weekday morning reporter for 13WHAM ABC and FOX Rochester, will cheer on St. John Fisher University students as they dance for 24 hours during the 2023 Teddi Dance for Love. Carter will serve as honorary chair of the annual dance-a-thon to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times. The dance will be held from 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 through 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18.

02/02/2023 - St. John Fisher University’s chapter of the American Marketing Association (SJF AMA) received a Commendable Recognition for its submission to the 2023 AMA Case Competition.

02/01/2023 - St. John Fisher University has received a $5,000 grant from the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), to focus on the development and implementation of a curriculum within the School of Arts and Sciences focusing on interfaith aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

01/30/2023 - The Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher University will pilot immersive 3D learning within its nursing curriculum, thanks to a $500,000 grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation.
