03/20/2019 - The St. John Fisher College Sport Management program will recognize Atlanta United FC, 2018 Major League Soccer Champions, as the 2019 Sport Organization of the Year during its annual awards ceremony.
03/18/2019 - Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter and best-selling author David Cay Johnston will present his lecture, “The Role of Media in 2019 America,” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall. Sponsored by the Department of Media and Communication, the lecture is free and open to the public.

The political science and Spanish major is our next featured senior in the 2019 Countdown to Commencement series; she was nominated by Dr. Sebastien Lazardeux, professor and chair of the Political Science Department.
03/11/2019 - For one full week this March, Lifting Up The ROC(k): Resistance and Renewal in the Fight for Social Justice, will bring activists, educators, writers, and performers to St. John Fisher College for a series of events that explore the life and legacy of Frederick Douglass, and through interactive discussions and presentations, will examine racism and inequity in Rochester and the larger society.
03/11/2019 - The next senior in Fisher’s Countdown to Commencement video series is Alyssa Whitley, a transfer student majoring in media management, who has spent her two years on campus immersed in public relations study, both in and outside of the classroom. Whitley was nominated by Arien Rozelle, assistant professor in the Department of Media and Communication.

03/07/2019 - Novelist Omar El Akkad will deliver the talk, “The Obligations of Literature in a Politically Fractured Age,” during the 2019 Lobene Lecture in the Humanities at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 29, in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.
03/06/2019 - NPR Best Book author Idra Novey will read from her newest novel, Those Who Knew, during St. John Fisher College’s 2019 Cavanaugh Reading Series. Sponsored by the English Department, the event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, in Wilson Formal Lounge, and is free and open to the public.
