04/10/2023 - Biology and public health double major and Spanish for health/global health minor Mariangelis Gonzalez is the next member of the Class of 2023 to be featured in the “Countdown to Commencement” series. Gonzalez was nominated by Dr. Rick DeJesus-Rueff, academic director of the First-Generation Scholars Program; Emily Colliss, assistant director of the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement; and Gabe Iturbides, TRIO Student Support Services program director.

04/05/2023 - In commemoration of National Donate Life Month, St. John Fisher University will host, “The Ins and Outs of Human Organ Donation,” a series of talks designed to raise awareness of organ donation, and the systems around the country to support organ donation and transplantation.

03/31/2023 - The First Friday Lecture Series returns this spring as Rev. William Graf delivers the talk, “Who was John Fisher?” on Friday, April 14 (this month’s lecture is delayed one week due to Friday, April 7 being Good Friday).

English Department Chair Examines Criminality in New Book Stephen Brauer

03/30/2023 - Dr. Stephen Brauer, associate professor and chair of the Department of English, has released a book titled Criminality and the Modern: Contingency and Agency in Twentieth-Century America.

03/30/2023 - Members of the St. John Fisher University Investment Club and Cardinal Courier had the chance to travel to New York City over the recent spring break. Students, faculty, and staff from both organizations attended professional development events and conferences and were able to network with industry peers and long-time professionals.

Sport Management Goes International Sport Management students visit Manchester City stadium.

03/28/2023 - Students and faculty from the Sport Management course International Cultures and Sport recently had the opportunity to broaden their horizons by embarking on a trip to the United Kingdom and Ireland. The group visited several professional sports facilities located in Ireland, Scotland, and England, gaining valuable insights into the operations of some of the world’s most famous and successful sports clubs.

2023 Faith in Action Lecture Series Features Advocates for Ending Hunger Robert Egger and Alexander Justice Moore

03/28/2023 - Food justice activists Robert Egger and Alexander Justice Moore will deliver a keynote address during the 2023 Donald L. and Marilyn B. Muench Faith in Action Lecture Series. Their lecture, “From Charity to Change,” will explore food scarcity and detail their experiences helping to battle hunger and poverty. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in Cleary Family Auditorium.
