
03/29/2019 - More than 1,000 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral candidates will graduate from St. John Fisher College during its 65th Commencement on Saturday, May 11. Before they cross the stage to receive their diplomas, the College will honor three individuals for their lifetime commitment to advocacy on behalf of the Rochester community.

03/12/2019 - Master’s programs offered through St. John Fisher College’s Wegmans School of Nursing are among the top 130 programs in the country, according to a ranking by U.S. News & World Report. Fisher ranked No. 129 for Best Nursing Schools - Master’s in the 2020 edition of the publication’s “Best Grad Schools Nursing” lists.

03/01/2019 - St. John Fisher College has been ranked as one of the best schools for the money in the U.S. by College Factual, a college search website based in Troy, New York.

02/22/2019 - Each year, two St. John Fisher College students are selected to win the Diversity Scholarship given by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.

02/18/2019 - Each year, the Honors Program publishes The Review, Fisher’s undergraduate research journal featuring original, scholarly work from students. The submission period for the 2019 issue is now open, and the editors are encouraging students from across Schools and disciplines to consider submitting.

02/08/2019 - Allison Pierce, a senior nursing student at St. John Fisher College, was officially inducted into the United States Navy during a ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 7, held in the Wegmans School of Nursing.

02/05/2019 - In 2018, graduates of the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher College exceeded the New York State average in their ability to successfully pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on their first attempt.

01/28/2019 - Utica native Stella Do is the next member of the Class of 2019 to be featured in our Countdown to Commencement series. She was nominated by Tara Preteroti, assistant director of the College’s Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP).

01/23/2019 - A handful of senior nursing students took part in an incredible trip that allowed them to see a new part of the world, and put their knowledge to the test.

11/20/2018 - Dr. Marilyn Dollinger, professor and executive associate dean in the Wegmans School of Nursing, was given the Policy and Service Award by the New York chapter of the American Nurses Association. She was formally honored during the Association’s annual meeting held in Albany, New York, on Friday, Oct. 19.
