08/12/2026 - For the tenth year in a row, St. John Fisher University has been recognized for its continuing commitment to engaged, hands-on education by Colleges of Distinction. Fisher was named to the 2026-2027 list, recognizing its delivery of a high-quality undergraduate education that focuses on personalized learning, strong student-faculty relationships, a vibrant campus life, and successful student outcomes.
08/10/2026 - The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education at St. John Fisher University has been reaccredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
07/29/2026 - For the third year in a row, St. John Fisher University was named the top winner in all three higher education categories in the Rochester Business Journal’s 2026 Reader Rankings.
05/11/2026 - Each year, St. John Fisher University honors members of its graduating class who have achieved excellence in their academic studies and co-curricular pursuits.
05/09/2026 - Across three ceremonies held on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9, St. John Fisher University conferred baccalaureate degrees on more than 600 members of the Class of 2026.

05/01/2026 - On Thursday, April 23, the St. John Fisher University Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education held its annual Education Celebration, recognizing the University’s support for education, educators, and community leadership. Graduating seniors, master’s and doctoral candidates, community partners, and alumni were honored during the event.
04/24/2026 - Soon-to-be graduates are encouraged to complete the annual First Destinations Survey (FDS) administered by the University to all bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree recipients.
04/06/2026 - This week’s “Countdown to Commencement” series features Aidan Conover, an inclusive adolescence education major, nominated by Dr. Kristen Driskill, associate professor of inclusive education.
04/06/2026 - The 72nd Commencement is just over a month away, and the University once again utilized a campus-wide student speaker nomination process for the five academic-based ceremonies taking place May 8 and 9. The process garnered 50 nominations.
